Addoum prosecutes students suspected of ‘devil worship’

State prosecutor Adnan Addoum referred Thursday three university students suspected of devil worshiping to Mount Lebanon Public Prosecution, for charges of blasphemy and disrespect of religious symbols.

Judicial sources told The Daily Star that Internal Security Forces (ISF) arrested two men and a woman in their early twenties, in their homes, following a tip that they practiced strange satanic rituals.

The source said that ISF personnel found sculls and Satanic symbols at their residences. He added that the three had deliberately scarred their bellies and other parts of their bodies, an act consistent with devil worshipping rituals.

The source said that they had confessed to their practice of satanic rituals during interrogations and had argued that it was their right to exercise freedom of belief.
