Louie Giglio's Obama Inauguration Withdrawal Slammed By Bryan Fischer

Not everyone is pleased by news of Pastor Louie Giglio's withdrawal from President Barack Obama's second term inauguration ceremony.

Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association is among those to condemn Giglio's decision to back out after reports of an anti-gay sermon the the Atlanta pastor delivered in the 1990s emerged.

Fischer slammed the news both on Twitter and in a lengthy blog, arguing that Giglio's sermon -- in which the pastor stated that the "only way out of a homosexual lifestyle ... is through the healing power of Jesus" -- was actually "pro-gay."

He noted, "There’s not a thing that is “radical” about [Giglio's] message. It’s the same message Christianity has preached for 2000 years and which America believed virtually without question for the first 350 years of its existence. His view is not even anti-gay -- it in fact is pro-gay, for it offers homosexuals hope and a way out of a destructive and dead-end lifestyle."

He echoed those sentiments on Twitter, noting:

The bully bigots at Big Gay win huge victory for fascistic intolerance. Louie Giglio forced out of inauguration.

He then added:

Bouncing Giglio a shameful display of intolerant anti-Christian bigotry and hate. Welcome to Obama's America.

Fischer has since pledged to "address the naked bigotry and hate directed at Louie Giglio" in a forthcoming broadcast on "Focal Point" radio program.
