'Passion' Cracks Top 10 All-Time Box Office List

Mel Gibson's biblical epic "The Passion of the Christ" reached a milestone with last weekend's box office take.

With $9.9 million in ticket sales, "The Passion" has now earned $330 million at the North American box office -- enough to push it past 1994's "Forrest Gump" as the 10th highest-grossing film of all-time.

"Gump" previously held the 10th spot with $329.4 million in ticket sales, according to figures from the Internet Movie Database.

"The Passion" has to earn about $10 million more to capture the ninth spot on the list, which currently belongs to "Finding Nemo." The computer-animated fish tale earned $339.7 million during its theatrical run in 2003.

"The Passion" will have to double its money if it wants to sink 1997's "Titanic. The No. 1 money-maker of all-time earned $600.7 million while in theaters.
