Kampala, Uganda - A Church of Uganda parish priest in the city has gone missing.
Some family members last saw Henry Kayizzi Nsubuga of Kanyanya parish on June 15 at Kyabalogo in Mukono district, according to a newspaper notice.
An official at Namirembe, the seat of the Church of Uganda, on condition of anonymity, said Nsubuga's whereabouts were unknown.
In an interview with Bukedde ku Sande, The New Vision's sister paper, the clergyman's wife, Harriet Nakitende Nsubuga, said efforts to trace him have been fruitless.
"We have asked all the family friends but they do not have any information about his whereabouts," she said.
Before he went missing, Nsubuga was involved in an accident on the Kampala-Jinja highway.
Apparently, he feared that he would be reprimanded because the vehicle belonged to the church.
Nsubuga later returned home in Nakisunga where he reportedly told a house-help that he was perturbed and did not how where he would get money to repair the vehicle.
Nsubuga reportedly told him he wanted to go to a "world" where there are neither worries nor despair.
However, the Police said they had not been told about the matter.
