Nigeria: Apostolic Faith Overseer Dies At 68

Lagos, Nigeria - Renowned church leader and the African Overseer of The Apostolic Faith Mission, Rev. Paul Ogechukwu Akazue, 68, is dead. Until his death May 7, Akazue was the patron of the 1,500-member strong national choir and orchestra of the Apostolic Faith, reputed to be the Africa's single largest orchestra.

According to a statement signed by the secretary to the church's Board of Trustees, Rev. Dapo Ojumu, the late Akazue is survived by an aged mother, Jane Akazue (widow), brothers, sisters and four children.

The late Rev. Akazue will be buried on May 21, at The Trumpet Shall Sound Cemetery, Faith City, Igbesa, Ogun State after a funeral service at the Africa headquarters of the church in Anthony Village, Lagos.
