Uganda Education News: Two students suspended for starting cult in school

Kampala, Uganda - The management of Aisha Girls Senior Secondary School has suspended two senior six candidates for starting a ‘cult’ in the school.

The students suspended would allegedly doge school lessons and spend the whole day and night in the dormitory praying and fasting.

The management interpreted the behavior of the students as strange and a cult.

The Headmistress of Aisha SSS, Faridah Namutebi identifies the suspended students as only Mary Katusiime and Edridah Atuhairwe.

However, the students of Aisha SSS say the suspended senior six candidates were Born Again Christians. They were praying to God to make them pass their senior six examinations due this month.

The School Headmistress says the students refused to revise their books on Tuesday and Wednesday last week and remained in the dormitory praying and fasting.

The Headmistress instructed the students to report to school next Monday with their parents or guardians.
