Suicide bombers target small religious group in Iraq

Sinjar, Iraq - Two suicide bombers have blown themselves up in a cafe in the town of Sinjar in northern Iraq.

21 people were killed while 32 others were injured.

Most of the victims were Yazidis, an ancient local religion with several hundred thousand followers.

In August 2007, more than 400 Yazidis were slaughtered in four suicide bombings.

Only last week, 28 members of the Shabak religious sect, who are close to the Yazidis, were killed by explosions from two booby-trapped lorries in a village near Sinjar.
