Boys accused of damaging worship center

Sapulpa, USA - Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with the vandalism of a religious outreach center in Sapulpa.

Detective Capt. Bret Bowling said the boys were arrested Thursday after police followed up on numerous tips and evidence.

The vandalism at the Harvest Chapel Outreach occurred during the July 24-26 weekend. Vandals left the place in shambles, destroying fixtures and spray-painting satanic images on the walls and doors.

An upright piano was turned over, and its black keys were ripped off. Sinks and toilets were smashed, resulting in flooding.

Bowling says the boys were arrested after being interviewed in the presence of their parents and are in the Comanche County Jail in Lawton, the nearest jail with available space for juveniles. Bowling declined to identify them.
