Ram Rahim & Sirsa Cultists Swarm into Chandigarh

Chandigarh, India - Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Chief of the bogus Sacha Sauda Dera was made to appear at Punjab Police Headquarters at Sector 9. The interrogation session lasted around four and a half hours and included three officers of the Bathinda Police.

The dera chief was questioned in relation to the case filed against him after his blasphemous act of parodying Guru Gobind Singh Ji last year. The interrogation session started around 12 PM when the dera chief arrived here along with his beefed up security. Following his bullet-proof luxury Lexus vehicle were twenty-four vehicles of security personnel and dera officials. Five vehicles were given permission to enter the headquarter premises to accommodate the dera chief.

Despite the cult leader’s various tries to delay the interrogation, the court orders ensured that he had to appear himself at the police headquarters and offer full cooperation. Access to the media was totally blocked before and during the interrogations. Special security was deployed all over the city to keep away any mishap. The interrogation team put forth twelve questions to the Dera Chief. These questions were related to the program organized in Bathinda by the cultist when he introduced his own version of amrit, the so-called 'Jaam-e-Insa.'

The self-styled god-man appeared at the Chandigarh based Punjab Police Headquarters in relation to the ongoing case of hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community. He is also undergoing a trial in two cases of murder and in one case of raping a saadhvi.

Police officials expressed dissatisfaction over the answers provided by the dera chief. According to officials who were present during the session, all answers provided by Gurmeet Ram Rahim were brief and did not hold much weight. Police asked the cult leader to provide video recordings and pictures from the Salabatpura program.

It was announced that a report will be prepared and submitted to the High Court on 15th December after which the court will announce further actions.

After the conlusion of the interrogation session, the Dera Chief went to Sector 25 to hold a so-called Naam Charcha with his followers who had gathered there in large numbers. He delivered discourses while sitting in a bulletproof cabin. His lecture remained brief and he only remained at Sector 25 for less than an hour. He left for Haryana after briefly addressing his followers.
