Protesters call for religious tolerance in Islam cartoon row

Hong Kong, China - More than 100 demonstrators called for religious tolerance Sunday during a protests against the recent reprinting in Danish newspapers of a cartoon depicting the prophet Mohammed. The protesters carried banners and shouted slogans saying Islam wanted peace during the demonstration in the heart of Kowloon's Tsim Sha Tsui tourist district.

The demonstrators, who said the cartoons were offensive to Islam, marched from Kowloon Park through Tsim Sha Tsui to the Kowloon Park mosque, the biggest in Hong Kong.
