Tuju Apologises to Muslims

Nairobi, Kenya - THE Government has apologised to Muslims.

Foreign Affairs minister, Mr Raphael Tuju, apologised to Muslims for official, historical and cultural injustices and discrimination.

Tuju, who is the interim Narc-Kenya chairman, admitted that 44 years after independence, some civil servants were still biased against Muslims.

He gave a catalogue of humiliations he had witnessed directed to Muslims on the basis of their culture and dressing.

"I was shocked when an Egyptian Foreign minister, was told to undress at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport just because he was wearing a Kanzu," said Tuju.

"I want to apologise for the unofficial discrimination. This is done by individuals who are still suffering with a colonial mentality," said the minister.
