A commissioner in the commission, Ustaz Sani Fagge, said the commission expanded preaching to various parts of the state leading to the achievement recorded in the conversion efforts.

He said the conversion is part of the efforts to ensure peace and security in the state especially as it embraces Shari'a as a way of living.

"We have so far converted more than 10,000 people to slam, constructed many Islamic schools and mosques as we have become determined to enhance Islamic education in Kano state," he said

He commended the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, for his continued support to Islamic agencies which has been helping them to achieve far reaching initiatives in the state.
