Russian Court Bans Christian Group for Using Swastika Symbol

Moscow, Russia - A court in South Russian Kuban Region has liquidated a Christian religious group that used swastika and Nazi salute as part of the cult.

Gazeta.Ru internet daily quoted the press service of the local prosecutor’s office as reporting that the religious group named “Orthodox Slavic Commonwealth Age of Ra of the Scythian Branch of Rassenia the Ancient Russian Church of Orthodox Old Believers — Inglings” started work in 2000. Investigators discovered that the group used the swastika as an important part of their cult as well as the Nazi salute which was used during church services.

The group was banned under the Russian law that prohibits any use of Nazi symbols.
