Russian Eco Cult Forms Party in Bulgaria

Sofia, Bulgaria - Russia-originated eco cult Anastasia established a political party in Bulgaria Sunday.

According to founders, the faction would seek a legal framework for an eco-village movement.

In those compounds members live isolated from the outside world, without schools or medical services. They use herbs to fight illnesses instead, media explained.

The Anastasia movement was inspired by the same-title book by Siberian entrepreneur Vladimir Megre.

For their first Bulgarian settlement the Anastasia followers have eyed a site near the mountain village of Slaveykovo.

But media said that local resident were rather ill-disposed towards the to-be settlers, and were ready to protest in public.
