Security tightened at Russian synagogues

Moscow, Russia - The Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia has tightened security at all 35 synagogues in Russia, Boruh Gorin, a federation spokesman, told Interfax.

"Armed guards have been posted and every synagogue and community center is being patrolled by policemen," Gorin said.

The same measures were taken at the synagogue on Bolshaya Bronnaya street in Moscow where a man attacked the congregation on Wednesday, he said.
