Satanists suspected in embryo find

Bogota, Columbia - POLICE found two human foetuses in a package at Bogota airport that was to be sent to the United States and said overnight they suspect it could be part of a traffic in embryos for satanic sects.

The foetuses, which were between four and five months into gestation, were found wrapped in plastic and hidden in a porcelain statue, General Jord Alirio Varon of the Colombian police said.

He said the possibility of involvement by "an international satanic sect" was being studied by investigators.

The package had come from Barranquilla, the main port in the Colombian Caribbean, and was to go to Miami.

The general said the package also contained medals, images of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. He did not say if anyone had been questioned in connection with the embryos.
