Glasgow, Scotland - A SCOTTISH University is hoping to lure students into the world of magic, mystery and the paranormal. The new course — Psychic, Paranormal and Consciousness Studies — will help students at Paisley University, near Glasgow, to investigate the world of hypnoses, mind-reading and even angels.
The course will be overseen by Dr Jackie Jones-Hunt, who is a council member of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research, a paranormal think-tank. She believes that the special interest course has universal appeal. “The course can be enjoyed by a whole range of people,” she said, “We will look at medianship, which is how people contact the dead, reincarnation and for one week of the course the class will even have the chance to watch a reputable psychic.”
Dr Anne McGillivray, director of the university’s centre for lifelong learning, sees the 11-week course as satisfying a growing market. “With public interest in the paranormal continuing to be at a high, we are anticipating that this new short course will prove to be a very popular choice,” she said.
