Fiji church advertises its opposition to homosexuality

Suva, Fili - Fiji's Assemblies of God church has paid for an advertisement outlining its opposition to homosexuality.

The church says there is a growing cultural acceptance of homosexual identity and behaviour.

It says that acceptance is a symptom of a broader spiritual disorder that threatens the family, government and the church.

The church says the recent acquittal of two men for homosexuality is totally at odds with the standards set by God in the scriptures.

The church, which has a 50,000-strong congregation states that homosexual behaviour is a sin because it is disobedient to scriptural teachings.
