Kampala, Uganda - THE Police are holding a suspected cult chief in Mubende district who claims to have healing powers, reports Herbert Ssempogo.
Central region Police chief Grace Turyagumanawe on Monday said "Prophet" Ssali Kilimba Mwaka was arrested at his home in Kigamba village, Kikandwa sub-county in Mubende on Saturday.
"There were so many people hurdled at his place. We could not wait for another Kanungu to happen so we moved in and arrested him and he is about to face the law," he told the press at the Central Police Station in Kampala.
Kilimba's healing centre comprised a "Holy Rock" from where he talked to God, another from where he drew water and a third one from which he got the "Ten Commandments."
