Moscow, Russia - On April 30, the night before Orthodox Easter, Russian viewers will be able to watch Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ" on Rossiya television channel.
Premiered in the United States in 2004, the film triggered controversy even before it came to the screen.
"The Passion of the Christ" stirred vehement protests among Jewish organizations and was banned in some countries.
