Papal Phone-Messages Reach United Kingdom

Mobile phone users in the United Kingdom can now sign up to receive a thought of the day from the Pope, BBC reported.

The thoughts sent to subscribers every day will be picked from the messages, speeches and homilies delivered by John Paul II.

The service has been set up following an agreement between the Holy See and mobile content firm Acotel, BBC said Tuesday.

The service is available on all UK mobile networks. Would-be subscribers sign up by sending a text message reading "Pope on" to 61131. The service has been successful in Italy and Ireland.
