Council of Europe: France Accused of Religious Discrimination

Some fifty MPs in the Council of Europe ask the French Senate to stop the vote, due next week, on the second draft of the new law intended to fight cults.

This text "may create religious discrimination in France", according to the MPs, a group which includes Socialists, Christian Democrats, and Liberals. At least, they write, the Senate should await the end of the current Council of Europe session.
