A New Zealand woman has been awarded £900 after her employer forced her to receive a religious blessing.
Her boss considered her to be possessed.
The woman said she did not feel comfortable after receiving the blessing in front of her colleagues and quit the job a few weeks later.
The Human Rights Commission said the woman's employer agreed to pay her £900 for humiliation and injury to feelings.
It was accepted by the Commission the woman feared she would lose her job if she refused the blessing.
The woman's doctor, her husband and a friend provided evidence which "made it clear she had been subjected to detriment by her employment", reports the Sunday Star Times.
Other details including names of the woman, employer and the type of blessing have not been released.
