A South Korean missionary will stand a second trial on Thursday in Yanbian, China, for helping North Korean defectors in China to escape to other countries, a South Korean civic activist said.
Rev. Kim Hee-tae has been behind bars for almost two years since he was arrested by Chinese public security officials in August 2002 while trying to help 11 North Korean defectors board a train bound for Beijing from Changchun, Jilin Province.
