Police in Vietnam police say they have detained more than seven Vietnamese for handing out flyers promoting Christianity during the Southeast Asian Games.
A police spokesman says the authorities wanted to find out where the material had come from because it is illegal to distribute information without permission from the organisers.
Vietnam permits six religions to operate, including Protestants and Catholics, but only state sanctioned organisations can carry out any activities.
