Church leaders will also declare their wealth, Vice-President Moody Awori has said.
Mr Awori said corruption has not spared the church and its leaders must also declare their wealth to contain the vice.
"Declaration of wealth is not only for Government officials but should be done by all Kenyan citizens," said Mr Awori.
The VP was speaking in Mumias Town, where he attended the 10th anniversary of the Mumias Anglican Diocese. He was hosted by Bishops Ben Salala (Mumias), Horace Etemesi (Butere) and Eliud Wabukala (Bungoma).
Mr Awori said bishops countrywide would collect wealth declaration forms and dispatch them to the clergy in their various churches.
He urged the Luhya community not to be divided on political or clan lines. "We must work hard by venturing into business, like other communities, and we should not wait for donations," said Mr Awori.
At St Angela Vocational School for the Deaf, where he opened a multimillion-shilling administration block, the VP warned employers against discriminating against disabled persons.
He also warned parents who failed to take their disabled children to school that the Government would arrest and charge them. Every child, he said, had a right to attend school as the Government was offering free education.
