SALT LAKE CITY - A Mormon missionary has been killed in Ivory Coast, the church said.
Adele Atchley, 65, Santa Monica, California, was killed Saturday in her apartment in Yamoussoukro during an apparent robbery attempt, said Dale Bills, spokesman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her husband was not there at the time. The couple had been in the west African nation for five months.
The U.S. embassy and local authorities were investigating the crime, the church said.
