Doom alert on Internet from House of Prayer founder

THE founder of the controversial House of Prayer on Achill Island, Co Mayo, says she has had visions in recent months warning that "the Justice of God is close at hand".

Mrs Christina Gallagher claims Our Lady, in a visit to her bedside at 3am on June 20, warned of impending disasters "the likes of which the world has never known".

Mrs Gallagher has turned to cyberspace to deliver what she calls "Heaven's message to the world".

According to Mrs Gallagher - who claims to have the stigmata wounds of Christ on her feet - Our Blessed Lady warned her that "the Justice of God was about to unfold".

In her message, Our Lady says God is offended by the world's wicked ways. One of the latest bulletins on the extensive House of Prayer website warns: "The world will experience disasters like it has never known. God's Church will be shaken. Many will run from it. Others will hide."

As well as spreading Our Lady's message and raising funds, the House of Prayer website is being used to counter "hurtful" and "misleading" propaganda from other internet sources, one of which made offensive allegations about Mrs Gallagher and her lifestyle.

"The undue interference of a particular authority seeking to promulgate misleading advice should be ignored," the official House of Prayer website warns.

Huge crowds are expected today, when the House of Prayer celebrates its eighth anniversary. It was officially opened by Archbishop Joseph Cassidy in 1993 but has since fallen from favour among Church authorities.
