Aizawl, May 17. (PTI): The Mizoram Presbyterian Church, the biggest Church denomination in the State, today strongly condemned the killings of Rev. Fr. Raphael Paliakara, Rev. Fr. Andrew Kyndo and Rev. Bro. Joseph in Manipur.
A press release issued here by Rev. S. R. Lalkailuaia and Rev. Chauauthuama, Moderator and Secretary respectively of the Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod, expressed concern over the attacks against Christians in neighbouring Manipur.
``The Presbyterian Church wants that such kind of incidents should not reoccur in future,'' the release said, adding the Presbyterian Church extended condolences to the Catholic Church and the bereaved families.
The three Catholic priests of Imphal east district were gunned down by unidentified assailants on Tuesday night.
The Catholic Church here would close all its educational and other institutions as a mark of protest and the Church members would hold fasting in the evening.
